Depression is not easy to define or diagnose. It is a complicated network of feelings and different for each sufferer. There isn’t always a single root cause either. So, how do we shift this pain? I am an advocate of using medication, especially if it’s used alongside talking therapies and not just instead of. Many people find that medication brings stability and strength but that it isn’t enough to flourish.
There are things you can do to improve your condition. It would be impossible to write a list that some people wouldn’t feel patronised or insulted by. The thing is, what works for some may not work for others. That is why my work is totally client centred- only by talking to you and exploring your needs can we find ways for you to manage your condition and feel better.
As a life coach, I can help you to organise your thoughts and make plans for the future. We can explore your options, set goals and connect you with your innate resources.
As a hypnotherapist, I can teach you ways to manage your state and access resources when you need them. I can’t heal your depression but I can facilitate the changes that you need to make to have more freedom.
