The Havening Technique is a method designed to de-traumatize a memory or feeling using light touch (head, hands and upper arms), distraction techniques and visualisation as a therapeutic tool. This can be used to treat the consequences of encoded traumatic or stressful memories. You may still remember the incident but now without any emotion.
2. PARTS THERAPY
Your subconscious mind is divided into many parts. These different parts all have your best interests at heart, but they also have different priorities. This can result in inner conflict.
During parts therapy, the therapist speaks to the parts of the subconscious mind that are in conflict or causing problems. The therapist mediates with the various parts, resulting in a resolution and understanding between them, so that you can move on and make positive changes.
Most of our memories are hidden from view because they aren't important enough to remember. If a memory painful, it is possible that you haven’t processed it fully and it's still bothering you. In a hypnotic trance, our critical, conscious mind moves aside so that the therapist can work with the deep lying patterns of belief and behaviour.
